Encouragement from "Our Lord Prays for His Own"

Jesus prayed, "I kept them." His love passes knowledge; He rested not in creation until He had made man in His own image; and when man fell, He rested not in His redeeming love till He came down from heaven into man's nature to restore him again to the image he had lost. And then since He went up to the throne, He rests not until in the marvelous abundance of His grace we are all filled with the Holy Ghost; nor will He rest in the glory until He can say, Come and sit with me in My throne, "Even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in this throne."
